BALI, Indonesia, Oct. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- In line with Indonesia's chairmanship of ASEAN this year, LSPR Institute of Communication & Business, in collaboration with the ASEAN PR Network, organised an international conference on communication and business with the theme "Strengthening ASEAN Leadership in Sustainable Business." The conference took place at the United in Diversity Bali Campus and Trans Hotel Bali, gathering over 200 participants, speakers, educational institutions, and international public relations agencies from 15 countries in ASEAN and the European Union. The conference received more than 296 abstract submissions and hosted 500 online participants. The best research papers were recognized across several categories, including RIGOUR (Quality of Research, Methods, Evidence), IMPACT (Contribution to Public Engagement, Education Quality of Life, Business Success), ORIGINALITY (New Ideas, New Concepts, and Combinations), and RELEVANCE (Contemporary Issues and Challenges).
The first day of the conference commenced with a Welcome Dinner at the United in Diversity Bali Campus in Serangan, Denpasar, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and relaxation, setting the stage for the second day, which included insightful sharing sessions from practitioners and academics, as well as panel presentations of research findings.
This conference brought together leaders and academics alongside business figures. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, as well as the Bali Provincial Government, have been prominent supporters, consistently endorsing LSPR's various educational initiatives, especially in the fields of communication and public relations, over the years. Their steadfast support has been instrumental in LSPR's growth and development.
Prita Kemal Gani, Founder and CEO of LSPR and President of the ASEAN PR Network, who hosted the event, emphasised that communication and leadership are increasingly critical to addressing domestic challenges, ASEAN regional issues, and global concerns. These challenges are related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the need for leadership with effective communication competence that fosters educational and action-oriented messages.
Indonesia's Permanent Representative to ASEAN, Ambassador Derry Aman, during his presentation under the theme of ASEAN's chairmanship this year, "ASEAN Epicentre of Growth," stated that this title is not merely a slogan. ASEAN has become one of the regions with the highest economic growth rates globally.
The conference coincided with LSPR's Lecturers' Gathering, an event aimed at strengthening collaborations and providing a refreshing break from the routine of teaching and learning during the 2022-2023 academic year.
