TAIPEI, Aug. 18, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- StartUP@Taipei participated for the first time in the Techsauce Global Summit 2023, a prominent startup event in Thailand. This year, Techsauce attracted nearly 15,000 attendees, including participants from regions such as the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand, with over 500 exhibiting startups. Led by StartUP@Taipei, ten promising Taiwanese startups in the fields of AI, smart cities, ESG, IoT, and digital technology explored the local entrepreneurial ecosystem in Thailand. Throughout the exhibition, these teams garnered significant interest from potential clients, distributors, partners, and investors. Among the ten startups, Aiello, through a pitch contest organized by the hosts and Beacon Venture Capital, left a lasting impression on the audience with their product. Additionally, StartUP@Taipei organized several companies visits to help the teams understand the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, business environment, relevant regulations, and culture.
Furthermore, to enhance mutual communication and exhibition logistics, a team dinner was organized prior to the start of the event for these ten startup companies to network.
Comprehensive market entry planning, targeting entrepreneurship opportunities in Greater Southeast Asia.
To help the teams gain a deep understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Thailand and Southeast Asia, StartUP@Taipei has specially designed a series of visiting activities. These include visits to Thailand's largest e-commerce platform Lazada, the international law firm PD Legal, True Digital Park, one of Thailand's three major telecommunications giants, LINE Thailand, and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA). These activities are geared towards preparing a solid foundation for expanding into new markets in Southeast Asia. Additionally, StartUP@Taipei is also leveraging Taipei Entrepreneurs Hub (TEH), a talent exchange brand under the Taipei City Government's Department of Economic Development, to promote the city government's entrepreneurial resources through exchange events.
On the first day of the exhibition, these ten startups attracted many overseas startup companies, investors, and incubator units. Notable visitors included GreenRocket, a Thai incubator, True Incube, and SusHi Tech Tokyo from Japan. They expressed interest in assisting startups to establish a presence in Taipei. Some of them even visited the SusHi Tech Tokyo booth and exchanged ideas with Taipei City's Department of Economic Development representatives on the same day.
Furthermore, on the first day of the exhibition, StartUP@Taipei, along with the ten teams, participated in the Tech Showcase stage for Startup Pitching. This not only introduced the StartUP@Taipei brand to the audience but also provided information about the participating teams. Worth mentioning, through the exposure on this stage, Mechavision, one of the ten startup companies, had the opportunity to connect with Continental via the exhibition app. They are currently discussing potential cooperation, looking forward to future developments.
